on-board graphics of ATI Radeon HD 4250
I plan to run World of Warcraft, and that is about it. Other than facebook cityville and such.
I feel that the graphics need to be better, but really don't have much left to buy a new graphics. So, if you had to do a budget upgrade, what would you suggest? Or, will this be good enough for now, and I can save up?
you should waste less moneyt on a 6 core amd processor and get a core i3 2100 which is cheaper and faster for gaming purposes or even a quad core AMD. Spend the money on a GTS450 or amd 5770 vid card. - another note, Radimax make poop power supplies and in general any PSU that comes with a case (with the exception of Antec) is poop and will blow up in your face if you connect any higher power components like 6 core cpu's and gaming graphics cards. They may even blow up with a low end system.
Agree with above. Drop the expensive cpu, get a better gpu- you'll need it for raiding in cataclysm. Low end GPUs can do ok if it's just you on the screen, but towns and raids can quickly cause skipped frames and choppy game play. If you want that extra performance you will get more from a better gpu and an SSD than with a six core phenom II. Get a cheap quad core black editon and overclock it. or better yet wait on building the pc with a phenom II... Bulldozer can't be too far off now.
*note: I own a system with the 4250. I would know. Also it would help if you would specify what resolution you will be running.
