Will this 1333Mhz PC3 10600 (9-9-9-25) ram work in my Thinkpad T500

Hello,


Can someone tell me if there is any reason that this ram: Komputerbay 8GB (2x 4GB) DDR3 SODIMM (204 pin) 1333Mhz PC3 10600 8 GB (9-9-9-25) will not work in my Thinkpad T500 2055-2cu?

When I ordered the ram, I checked the specs and it looked like it was compatible, but after installing it I got the 1-3-3-1 BIOS beep. I switched back to my original module, and luckily I hadn't damaged my mobo (as the computer booted fine).

So, could there be something I missed when I checked the specs, that could be causing the problem? (Does this model only support 2GB modules?)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i couldnt find the support page for the ram
but that laptop is too old really

true, it is kinda old, but I don't have a lot of cash on hand right now to get another one
(plus tech gets outdated so fast these days, that it's almost not worth it to dish out for a
top tier computer that will be obsolete before you know it). But I thought at least upgrading
the ram would put a little more spring in it's step.

The ram itself is supposed to be made by samsung, so I'd imagine it's fairly reputable. Some
places say the T500 only supports 4gb total but others say 8. So it's possible that my
particular model (the 2055-2cu) is only takes 4.....wasn't able to find a manual yet that would
tell me though.
