I know this isn't a palm/bluetooth forum, but. I have a Palm T3 and a
kennsington usb dongle. I have tried everything to get the internet up and
running on the T3 to no avail. I can hot sync no problem. I have
downloaded the Palm Web Pro 3.0, still no internet connect. Keep getting
"error: Serial: timeout. could be bad cable or faulty modem. (0x0305)"
Any suggestions??

Hm - i use the following settings in "Network": Type PPP, Timeout Never,
Fixed DNS IP´s (primary dns ist set to the ip of my Windows PC BT-device
192.168.0.1 and secondary DNS is set to my Hardware-Router. IP of my T3 is
automatic. And no Script.
On the Windows side you must configure to "Allow Acces to this PC an
Internet on the BT-Device. This creates the fixed IP 192.168.0.1 for your
USB-Dongle. An second you must configure your World-Device to allow
Internet-Acces for other machines.
In the beginning i have the same failure as your. BT ist a little bit
tricky.
