Hey, Can i combine or mix a 2GB ram with my single 4gb stick?

How if different brands, but, same speed, timings & voltage?

And do you think it will work in dual channel mode?

Reason why i want to add another ram is because it's bottlenecking my system in games.

Solution

You can and it would enable dual-channel. All you need is two modules of the memory type for dual channel memory. Ideally, they would be identical, but it would would work with any two modules of the same type, and any discrepancies would default the common denominator. It wouldn't be optimal, but it would most certainly be an improvement.

Thanks :)

I've bought another ram, sane brand "kingston" and other specs are the same (Timings and voltage).

Good to go?
