Can I mix these two differnt types of ram?

I currently have 4 gb of ram and would like to upgrade to 8. They discontinued the RAM I used to build my rig and I would like to avoid buying 4 new sticks. Can i mix my old Corsair Dominator RAM with new Corsair XMS3 RAM. All the Specs look like they match up.
