CPU temp question

Hey, I started playing battlefield bc2 and when i run it my temp on temp core is reading 60c-63c. Is that way to hot?

this is without bf:bc2 running


spec:
i5 2500k
hd 6870
antec 900
msi p67-g43 mobo

No. Those cpus run warm when loaded. You're allowed up to 72.6c according to our resident Intel rep.

in the bios the reading temp on it say 60c is that normal?
when i run bf bc2 core temp say 60-63 for each core

If it is 60C in idle, then it is not normal, but if it is while gaming, then you have good temps, so no need to worry about.

Is the cpu OCed?

no the cpu is not OCed.

i when into the bios and top right corner it say cpu temperature -60c

No problems there. You're within specs. I had a 750 up to 90c briefly, and windows still loaded. You have a three year warranty. Relax.

for game it is ok
but when idle 60' is too high for any cpu

check your heatsink and fan

alright then. guess my temp are fine. but sometimes when i start up computer core temp readings are 40c-43c. why is that? it was after windows update

40c-43c. in idle is normal, no worry about temps.
