Well i finally convinced the wife that her life will be better off with me in a dark room playing video games. So here is my build if ya'll can please pick it apart with constructive criticism I would be grateful.

This rig will be used for Diablo 3, and BF3. Since i will be spending a lot of time building/playing i would like graphics to be as clean as possible.

Case: COOLER MASTER HAF 922
CPU: 2500k
MOBO: ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3
HDD: SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 it is 1.5v for z68
PSU: CORSAIR Enthusiast Series CMPSU-850TX 850W
DVD: LG CD/DVD Burner
Drum roll....
GPU: EVGA 012-P3-1570-AR GeForce GTX 570 (Fermi) 1280MB 320-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0

Total cost: $1,003.52 after instant discounts +shipping and before MIR

Ok now for the plans. I will add SDD. I plan on SLI. I will do this when ever i have a good night at 2-5nl. I will try out OCing, and i know i will need an after market cooling system for this. I want to try to setup my own liquid cooling, and i will add those parts later, and buy locally so i can talking to someone when setting up the system.

Concers are that i didn't want to go for an x2 of the 560s because of the shuttering affect explained in this article:
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-geforce-stutter-crossfire,2995.html
Also i selected the Gen 3 for the future PCIe 3.0 for upgrading later. Am i kidding my self or is actually going to be usefull also if it is should i spend that much money on a gtx570 now or just buy a budget and then upgrade when the new cards come out. This is only good if they come out before Jan12.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Solid initial build. Nothing id change to be honest other than the case, but that's only down to personal preference :p not a HAF fan :(

Depending on how your getting your OS, id recommend buying a SSD with the initial build so you can have a fresh install on there. If your getting your OS free however then it will obviously be easy enough to add it later and format HDD :)

How soon are you planning to buy?

Per several articles I have read AMD will be rolling out their new 28nm video cards in a matter of weeks.

The 28nm chips are going to be a huge boost in performance.

The HD7000 will be the first authentic GPU from AMD as the HD3000, 4000, 5000, 6000 series have all been based off of ATI's 2900 XT architecture from years ago.

This article lists the improvements:
