I'm back ;0)

So I have had this problem before, sometime my PC won't wake from sleep mode. All the fans spin but nothing comes up on the screen. Therefore I turn the whole PC off my the PSU and then it won't post however it does power up and fan spin. But does not post. The only way to get around this problem is to wait 2-3 hours with the PC unplugged from the wall. it only happens maybe 1 time every 2-3 months but I don't know why.

Any ideas why sometimes it won't post and sometimes come out of sleep mode?

Checked the video out. Heres what I think:

:p It really is rediculous

Are any of your components overclocked?

Which sleep state do you use (Check bios)?

Are you using windows 7? If so, are you using hybrid sleep mode?

Also I really think its a bios issue, so updating to the latest one, or even just reflashing may fix the issue.

Everything is at default in my rig, I don't want to update bios. I heard sometimes it wont work and = no bios at all then i'm screwed!

You can just rma the motherboard if you like, but if you are going to do that, just update the bios.
Chances of it dying are not that high to start with.
Also, motherboard feature you have (assuming its the m4n75td you have in your signature): CrashFree BIOS 3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LirQ-oM9XBI

"Also I have that hybrid sleep enabled i think, what does that do?"

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-CA/windows-vista/Turn-off-a-computer-frequently-asked-questions

Its basically a different way of saving power through ram and such, but ive had problems with it (but none like yours). But still worth a try to just disable it.

Also its enabled by default when windows is installed.

Why is it happening now all of a sudden!

Motherboard component failing would be my guess or something went wrong in windows

edit: the reason why it can be windows, is because it tells the bios to go into a sleep state and where to go to start back up windows. If windows is sending it to the wrong spot then it wont boot back up.

More specific please, a capacitor? You are the only person that seems to have the slightest of a clue where is the rest of tomshardware lol Maybe they could help on this bit. Lucky I'm getting 2600k new MB in 3 weeks lol!

Could it be a failing PSU?

lol specific? impossible! you would need to test every component.

Try a dual boot (or single if you have an extra hdd around) of windows and see if the second copy does the same

As for psu, doubt it.

When i boot into windows it says it recovered and gives me the stop code, when it happens again I will let you know. Or from not on might just turn PC off at night lol.
