Hey guys. I am planning on building my first computer. I will mainly use it for gaming, multimedia editing/viewing, high multitasking, Internet, and document processing. I chose the i7 3770k and I'm either going with the Asus P8Z77-V Pro mobo or the AsRock Extreme9 (still deciding). I was planning on getting Windows 7 Home Premium but I can't decide if I need I need Professional because of RAM issues. So my question is will I need Professional; will I use more than 16GB of RAM doing the things my build is made for?

While it's possible that you'll eventually use more than 16GB of RAM with gaming, my guess would be that by the time you get to that point, this computer will have started showing its age in several other areas and have been replaced. You can also do an "Anytime Upgrade" to move to Win 7 Pro at, as the name suggests, any time.
