what are some good name brands for cases?

Look at other threads in this section of the forum they will help with choosing a case since you didn't tell us specifications of what you wanted

Coolermaster, Antec, Lian Li, Thermaltake, Silverstone, Corsair. Look for one that will hold and support the hardware you plan to use, and an easy-to-use Front panel (USB, MIC, Headphone), and provide good cooling: fans for airflow and/or space for water cooling components (pump, radiator, and fans).

I agree with treefrog07's choices ^^^, and I would only add one more brand that looks

cool and is very ergonomic, the Fractal Design.

Myself having Antec(soon to be replaced). All of them make great cases.
