Hello,
I have a Windows 7 Asus (U-50 series) notebook that was purchased about a year and a half ago. I use it for regular use such as Microsoft Office, internet browsing (Mozilla Firefox), and entertainment purposes such as iTunes and watching movies (Windows Media Player).
Lately it has been shutting down for no reason without really any warning. It happens after about 10-15 minutes o0f use but some times it's quicker, and other times it lasts a half hour or more even. It also seems to be a more common problem when playing music through iTunes instead of just browsing the web or something. I have seen an error message appear some times immediately before turning off that reads "referenced memory at 000x0000000" or something along those lines. I have not managed to read the message in its entirety before the computer shuts completely down. Once it shuts down, it will not turn on for a couple of minutes, and then shuts down at a increasingly quicker rate. Any help would be great!!
