Want to change the screen-saver at the logon screen:-
1. Start>Run
2. Then type REGEDIT
3. navigate to HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\ControlPanel\Desktop
on the right pane find the string named SCRNSAVE.EXE
Double click it and enter the full path to the screen-saver you want and click
OK.
or if you prefer:
Go to www.dougknox.com Win XP Utilities, Change Default Screen Saver

This might not be the same thing you're talking about,
but you can get to the screen saver function by Right
Clicking in a blank part of your desktop and
selecting "Properties" from the menu. Click on
the "Screen Saver" tab and pick a new one.
