No DRAM light, restarts, posts, freezes.

Hi guys,

Recently my computer has been acting up. when i start it it will turn on for 2 -3 seconds with no DRAM light then shut down, restart and SOMETIMES post. sometimes it just stays on with no post no light.

when it does start it will freeze at very random times. sometimes when giving me the option to "start windows normally", sometimes it freezes after 6 hours of gaming.

i thought maybe the PSU. bought a new corsair TX 750. nothing

i thought maybe the HDD. bought a SDD did a clean install of windows. nothing

flashed bios

run without graphics, 1 stick of ram still does it

ran MEMOK! and that seemed to work for a bit. but it saved my BIOS setting for my 1600MHZ ram at 800 with the timings at 8-8-8-? something i cant remember, but, not whats on the box (on box 9-9-9-24)

ive got a:

Asus P6X58D - e
intel i7 LG 1366
12 gigs corsair vengeance (3 - 4gb sticks)
GTX 470
corsair TX 750w

any help will be much appreciated!

P6X58D-E BIOS Setup --> Ai Tweaker

Ai Overclock Tuner - Change from [Auto] to [X.M.P.]

eXtreme Memory Profile - Change from [Disabled] to [High Frequency]


Alternatively, you can change the Ai Overclock Tuner setting to [Manual] and set the DRAM Frequency and DRAM Timing Control settings manually so that the DIMMs are not running out of spec.

If the timings are 8-8-8-?? then it is most likely these memory timings are too tight to allow stable use.
