Graphics Card buying help requested

Hey guys. I'm looking to buy a new graphics card. I need some advice though. Here's what I'm looking for;

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Tomorrow or Sunday BUDGET RANGE: USD $80-100

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming, HD Movie Content, Multimedia

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: NVIDIA 9800 GT 512MB - Corsair GS700 Watt PSU

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: Intel Core 2 Quad Core CPU Q9300 @ 2.50GHz, 6GB DDR2 RAM

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Best Buy.com, Newegg.com, TigerDirect.com and the country of origin is the United States.

PARTS PREFERENCES: No preferences.

OVERCLOCKING: If possible MaybeSLI OR CROSSFIRE: Maybe

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1680x1050 (Looking to upgrade soon after to 1920x1080.)

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Essentially I'm looking for a card that won't run as hot as the current one I have when presented with stressing things like games. I don't play the most demanding games out there, but I'd like a card that can handle it if possible for this price range. I'd also like it to run a bit less loud than the one I have which often sounds very loud under even normal load.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  1. maybe you can look at this one:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131434&cm_re=5770-_-14-131-434-_-Product

    it should fit your budget after MIR. just make sure your mobo have PCI-E 2.0 or above. cards with PCI-E 2.1 such as above doesn't play nice with PCI-E 1.x.
