Hello and thanks for reading this and any help I may receive.

I recently purchased the: Acer Aspire AS5560-7402 Notebook AMD A-Series A6-3420M(1.5GHz) 15.6" 4GB Memory DDR3 1066 500GB HDD 5400rpm DVD Super Multi AMD Radeon HD 6520G on newegg. I am very pleased with the speed and my son has even played Diablo 3 and Guild Wars 2 on it without any issues on medium (never even tried highas was good enough).

My question is the stock RAM is: 4GB DDR3 1066, 2GB x 2, Max Memory Supported 8GB. I am trying to cheap out again to increase performance by adding 4GB X 2.

Would this option work from newegg as it is on sale now for $29.99? Team 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1600 Laptop Memory Model TSD38192M1600C11DC-E

• DDR3 1600
• Cas Latency 11
• 1.5V
• Dual Channel Kit

Thanks again!

if you are running windows as a 32bit OS no more than about 3G of RAM will be recognised, so you will need a 64Bit Operating System to benefit. If you go to the Crucial website (and others) you can download a memory finder tool, this will tell you what you laptop will support... may need you to update your Java software to the latest version... usually works well...
