Best Sli setups for 1080p at 1920x1080?

I want the best kickass configuration to run games on max with 60+ fps

Thanks:)

My budget is $1000 towards gpus

Solution
for 1080p you do not need an sli setup, get a gtx 570 or hd 6970, quadfire is an absolute horrible idea, anyone who rec this obviously doesn't have a clue, drivers for 2 gpus are bad enough you think 4 will run smoothly!?, I think not, really crossfire or sli should only be used for high resolutions or multi monitor setups imo otherwise there are plenty powerful single card solutions that will get the job done as the ones I listed above. In my experiences crossfire drivers are extremely weak, had crossfire 6870s and went to a single card because of the piss poor minimum fps and general headaches that were consistent across several drivers, this is my 2 cents, good luck

drivers for both companies have issues in different areas...unfortunatly there is so much fanboyism on both sides that ppl end up hearing way 2 much of the bad... i built a quadfire 6990 setup for a client in late may and he has yet to call me with any problems.....the point being no matter what high end setup you go with ....most all games will avg. 60 fps . but somtimes maxxed out graphic intensive games will bog..... its just a fact of gamer life..... but yes.... a 580 will hit 60 most of the time but will also bog down to 20 (just a whole lot less than a lesser card)
