My specs are 3.5ghz i5 proc, 8gb ram and a 1440x900 moniter, currently with my ati 5770 card I can play just about every game but the original crysis totally maxed out though I am on the line for a lot of them. however lately my monitor seems to like losing signal when playing computer games and I have to restart my PC, currently only deadspace though its done it on just cause 2 once. So I am worried my graphics card is going, If it does I would kinda like to take the chance to upgrade and a good option seems to be the gtx 460, mostly because I like the physx option, but is it that much better then the 5770 what percentage better frame rate will I get? 5%? or more like 20%+? Also before someone suggests it, I only have pci-e slot so crossfire is not a option.

I could go up to a 560 but only if I had a really good reason to.

The 460 is sigificantly faster than the 5770.

That's at 1920x1080 but it's the same at your resolution (1280x1024 which is about the same pixels as you are using).

I'd get this GTX 560 non-Ti for $170 shipped while it's on sale:
