Approximate Purchase Date: End of September

Budget Range: $1200 before rebate but i would prefer to keep it under 1k

System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming only

Parts Not Required: Mouse

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg.com, Amazon.com

Country of Origin: USA

Parts Preferences: Intel proc; no other pref

AMD cards run hot, so I would look for a case that leaves you the option to add some side cooling to it and not just a solid piece of plastic. The CM 922 HAF is another case you might want to look into. As far as that "system mechanic software" is concerned...it's nothing more than bloatware that you would find on a prebuilt DELL or HP. Between Windows 7 and your motherboard your covered.

That i5 + windows 7 combo is fantastic.

I'm considering this case/psu combo + This ram. Not too sure about the roswell psu, but the case looks good.

Overall this would put the price at about $30-40 more than the setup you suggested, and in total it would be around $1270 :/. I might just dumb down the ram and hold off on the ssd for now. That should get the price down to around 1k, which would leave room for the monitor and other peripherals.
