6970 vs 570

Hey guys,

Ive just about summed up the new specs for my build. But I am wondering if I should wait for what 2012 has to offer or continue.
This is the hardware I currently have planned and now I am on the dilemma of which GPU to get. Please give me your input of any
components I should change.

ASRock Z68 Fatal1ty Professional Gen3
Intel Core i7 2600K
ASUS Radeon 6970 DirectCU II 2GB or the ASUS GeForce GTX 570 DirectCU II 1280MB
Corsair HX-1050 80 PLUS Silver Power Supply
G.Skill Ripjaws X F3-10666CL9Q-16GBXL (4x4GB)
OCZ Agility 3 120GB SSD 2.5"
Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB
LG GH22NS70 22x SATA DVD-RW Drive OEM
Corsair Obsidian 650D Case
Corsair Hydro Series H100 CPU Cooler

Anything I should change? I will be keeping the 1050 w PSU for future sli/crossfire.

Now the main problem is the GPU. I don't want to go the $500+ price bracket of the 580's but just a bit lower.
I have read many reviews etc. about which GPU to get but I'm still deciding. My system wil have a red and black
theme so I want to go with either of these GPU's.

Please give me your input so I can decide on which one to get.

Ive decided to go for the ASUS Radeon 6970 DirectCU II 2GB and Ill probably get a 2nd to xfire. Please still give me input on changes.

The 6970 performs better at higher resolutions.
