More about sleeving size
  1. the cobra sleeving comes in different sizes and is uv reflective so will look better in the case...
the difference in the 2 products is the width of the layer the black is thicker and potentially harder wearing. but the cobra looks so much nicer. especially if you get it to match or clash with your led's.

there is no real difference other than a personal choice. me i would go for the cobra over the black... you may not want to if your case is particularly dusty as them cable ties will look grubby very quickly.
  2. How will you sleeve the cables and in particular the 24-pin? Will remove all wires from the connectors? 1/8" might work for smaller cables, but you probably need 1/2" or 5/8" for the 24-pin cable. The smaller the sleeving, the more difficult the task will be.

I checked a couple Antec cables that use the following sleeving size:

    24-pin: 5/8"
    6 and 8-pin cables: 3/8"
    small cables: 3/16"
  3. MDPC-X.... that is all... oh and a link http://en.mdpc-x.com

and for ChislainG 1/8 will look great on a 24 pin... you just sleeve each cable individually...

I'm just trying to imagine 23 cables individually sleeved...
  5. http://www.million-dollar-pc.com <-- now you don't have to imagine... it looks great

in fact it looks so nice and enough people want it that there are services that will sleeve your entire PSU for you to the tune of 250-600 bucks...

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/12355/psu-463/Silverstone_Strider_Gold_ST85F-G_850W_Modular_Power_Supply_-_SLI_Ready_SST-ST85F-G.html?tl=g11c26s86 <--- note the every cable single braided option at the bottom... $599.... or you could do it yourself for under $100 including tools, sleeve, heat shrink, etc.

http://psychosleeve.com <-- he only use mdpc sleeve and offer custom sleeving solutions :)
  6. I'd never spend that much money to sleeve PSU cables. I don't like the 24-pin cables; that's too many sleeved cables for me and it doesn't look clean. I prefer a single sleeve per cable.
  7. Aesthetics is subjective... a lot of people think it looks great... but to each his own.

and I would never pay 250-600 bucks to have my psu sleeved... but I will sleeve it myself using MDPC sleeve... I can understand the costs though sleeving that much cable is time consuming.
  8. I totally agree with you.
