Does it boot with only one stick? And what's you mobo? It's missing in the list.

My mobo is Asus sabertooth z77, and yes it boots up on slot b1 and b2 , when i insert them on slot a1 or a2 comp turns on but no video? is it that the slots are defective?

Absolute sure, that it's not one of the sticks? Check them one by one and make sure bios registers them with the right parameters. I had just to RMA a 4*8Gb pack, because one stick failed.

ok, so i turned off my comp and put one by one testing all the ram and they all work , but when i put one single ram on slot a1 or a2 none work the light on the mobo that says "dram led Mem ok!" red light comes up so im guessing the slots don't work? ;(

Could also be a compatibility issue. According to the asus list the board seems to have trouble with more then one or two of the 1.65 volt sticks. Last chance is bios Version 1504.

That's exactly what one should expect when you stick the modules in the wrong slots.

Read the manual ? Check page 2-5.

It very clearly shows that when installing two (2) modules, they should go in slots A2 and B2

Those are the 2nd and 4th from the CPU

Before i did anything i read the manual , i installed one in a2 and b2 for "better stability" and i never got any video when the ram is in either slot a1 or a2.

The problem is probably related to a bent pin for the cpu on the motherboard. If received like this, RMA. If not, magnifying glass and needle work will be needed.
