system specs:
ASUS M489GTD pro/ USB 3 MOBO
Phenom 2 965 BE cpu
Zalmin 9900 cpu cooler
G-Skill 1600mhz ram 7-8-7-24 (8gigs)
corsair pro 850watt mod psu
HAF 932 full tower
HD WD 7200rpm 500gig
GTX 570 OC

Seems like I should be getting a lot more performance out of what I have? On heaven Bench I get about 40frps with settings at 4xAA and tessilation at extream with an overclock of the cpu to 3.7ghz and the gpu to 900/1800/2104 at 1.100 volts. Does that sound right? All drivers are updated. Cooling is not an issue, have kepted cpu below 40c and gpu below 60c. I feel I'm still pretty new at this, and this is my first gpu and frist build. I have taking my cpu to 4ghz but it did not seem to make a differance in performance. Oh yeah and I can't even finish 3dmark 11 without a blue screen. FPS drop below 15 on that.

Seems about right. Heaven uses massive tesselation at extreme, and 40fps is pretty good, especially with 4xAA

Ok then so I'm not trippin? I am just about through with crysis warhead at max settings, 16xAA at Enthuseist setting, the game has frozen up on me a few times, but now I'm not so sure its the card. Temps are staying below 60c. I've read that windows 7 can sometimes be the problem. My rig is far from done, SSD and new Monitor is next on the list. The monitor I have now is really an LCD TV with a vga conection, although it has an HDMI I can't seem to use it for PC ? Strange right? Thanks for your input, any help is always welcome, for as I always tell myself "what I know is a little and what I don't is a lot" lol.
