Hey all,

I built a system a few years back now and am hoping get some opinions on getting it up and running with current (and future) games.
It can still run everything, but I'm having to sacrifice quality settings and resolution for acceptable frame rates more and more.

I know the video card is pretty much past it's due date, but it would be nice to keep most of the other components. I'm not against overclocking, however, everything is on it's stock cooler, so aftermarket cooling would most likely have to be used. (liquid cooling is something I've been looking at as of late).

It's pretty much a balance between the viability of keeping certain pieces versus getting all new components and putting it together.

In my opinion, even overclocking is not necessary. That's a good CPU and everything else is fine as well.
Just get a new graphics card and your system will be awesome once more =)

You did a fine job of putting that system together.
Video card is all you really need to update.
