WiFi external Antenna

How would it do that, except by "borrowing" from a neighbour's unsecured wireless or perhaps a nearby cafe (or whatever) with free wireless intended for customers ?

In any case the router would need to support client mode (i.e. act like a wireless adapter).

If you can find an option for client mode in your router you can use it as a wireless adapter and adding a larger antenna may add signal strength at the cost of directionality (i.e. you may need line of sight to the signal source).

But none of the several routers I own have that option so I'm not qualified to advise further.

After some researching I found that using a repeater conected to my antenna will send the singles received to any of my wireless receivers allowing me to receive from free access transmissions
Thanks for the intrest
