Canon 550EX-2.nd curtain sync

I cannot find how to make Canon 550EX sync on 2.nd. curtain - with my
Canon1DMk.II - which of course is set to sync on 2.nd. curtain.

Anyone with some instructions?

Which rebel? I have a 300d and a 420ex and i can't get that to work...

I have the russian firmware installed and the option can be enabled but it
doesn't work(as noted on the website)...are u using the newer "undutchables"
firmware? If not have you actually confirmed that is it working in 2nd
curtan mode?

Firstly, the camera setting should override the flashgun setting.
Secondly, you can manually set the 550 to 2nd curtain via the mode
button, as per the 550 instruction booklet.

As per the manual, the EX-series Speedlight flash-settings override
the camera settings. It makes sense to me, because it's usually faster
to change the flash settings on the flash than to do it on the camera.
The camera's custom functions can be used for flashes that have no
setting for second curtain sync.

That's because the synchronisation is *not* set with the mode button.
You cycle to second curtain sync on the 550EX by pressing the + and -
buttons simultaneously.

Um yea, I've confirmed that the Dutch 2nd. shutter sync also does not
work....
