Hi All,

I recently upgraded my PC. The new things that I'm seeing are:

1. While playing Battlefield3, the video card fans run loud. I've captured the screenshots from HWMonitor while playing it. When I play COD Modern Warfare 3 the noise level stay normal.

2. When I play Battlefield 3 with Single Video card, there isn't any GPU Fan noise. I've tried doing this with each card one after another.

So, I need some help from this forum to let me know if everything looks normal or not. Please review when time permits and give me your advise.

I've uploaded the screen shots at picasa:

just looked at idle - good temps
just looked at BF3- goood temps

BF3 is a very intensive game

plus having two cards will increase heat and fan noise

if you use MSI after burner (free-just google)
or even AMD Overdrive you can play with fan speeds on some cards

I would see if you can slow down the fan speeds on BF3 with Crossfire

and check your temps with lowered fans

if they are still under 80C then you are fine

Thanks! I will check the overdrive..Also, I'm trying to install another 120mm fan on the side cover. Will post any significant changes..

your temps look fine. if its only happening when your running 2 cards then its likley 1 of them is being starved of air causing the fan to run faster than it normaly would to get the same amount of air across the card.
if your front fan/s are variable ie you can turn em up and down at will, try turning them up to max while leaving the back fan at low rpm this should even out the air preasure in the case and hopefully give better cooling thus less noise.
