Using Intel DZ77RE&5K motherboard, and CMD16GX3M2A1866C9 16GB

XMP in bios sets it to 9-9-9-27 (wrong timings)

Should be 9-10-9-27

Using CPU Z , the FSB is fine(933) Duel = 1866

The problem is under SPD on CPU Z it shows 9-9-9-27 and also 1796 as the FSB

So something is strange here, but I don't know how to tell Intel this, as their contact system is silly, and they take forever replying only to tell me I have to pay for support even though I am helping them correct a bios.
If I knew all the settings for this memory apart from the 9-10-9-27 would make it easier, but I don't :(

so your memory is running faster by one timing 10vs 9. whats wrong with that?
if your bios is not dummied down you can set the ram timing manually

Hi,

I forgot to mention, I am getting BSOD's :(

only thing I can think of is the timings are causing it, XMP dosnt seem to pick up the correct timings, I can do manual, but there are other settings that I am not sure of, I think I will try set them to the xmp settings but on manual, and just change the 9-9-9-27 to 9-10-9-27

thanks ;)

next time you reboot press f8 to go to safe boot and select the last option to not restart upon BSOD. when you get that bsod write the error number and google it. that should give you a general idea on whats wrong
