hi. so i wanna build a pc been watching lots of videos, picking out parts, and stuff. I would like to see if anyone could help me to choose the parts.
Requirements:
-Video editing ( sony Vegas, After Effects,Pinnacle Studio, and Camtasia Studio)
-Play Minecraft atleast 60fps
-Web Browsing
-Decent Rendering Speed
I am in a strict budget $500 is the max but anything a bit lower would be amazing.
I doubt its enough for a video card so I will start saving up for one.
I live in the California, U.S. so the companies that i prefer are TigerDirect, NewEgg, and Micro Center.
Parts Required:
-processor
-motherboard
-ram
-dvd burner
-Windows 7 home premium 64bit
-case
-power
-Hardrive (prefer 500gb)

if u have any questions ill be happy to answer.
THX 4 the feedback :)

That is a tight one :pfff: ... I am on it...

Questions:
1 You going Red (AMD) or Blue (Intel)?*

2 Do you have a ATX case you can reuse?** (I have spec'd with the hope you can)

3 Do You want to over clock? (The below is spec'd for that)

I don’t know if it can be done... not with seven and an okay GFX, I have just spent an hour on Newegg and tiger, seems too tight... $590- $600 we can do better. But for now here it is the best for price and performance:

AMD FX-8120 Zambezi 3.1GHz Socket Eight-Core $159.99

BIOSTAR A880GZ AM3+ AMD 880G SATA 6Gb/s HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard $59.99

AMD Radeon HD 6770 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 $69.95
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814105003R

Silicon Power 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model SP008GBLTU160V22 $36.99

COOLMAX ZU Series ZU-500B 500W 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular $49.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817159127

ASUS DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS Black SATA 24X DVD Burner - Bulk - OEM $19.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135204

Refurbished: Western Digital Caviar Blue RFHWD3200AAJS 320GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive $49.99***

windows 7 home 64bit oem $99.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116986

$546.92

Built to price and performance for your video editing more cores you have the better normally. The 8120 is not far off the 8150 which performs much like the i5 2500k. For most things there is little difference other than price between the 8120 and the 8150. I think $50 more and you can get a much better MB with 4 Ram slots dimms and a fulll 500gb new hard drive. $20 will get you a just the new hard drive.

For minecraft the 6770 will be fine. But if you want Intel Let me know we can try for a i5 but I dont think a i5 XXXXk is possible,
it could cut it down to 6100... $526.92. But at $600 we can get a much better unit.

I hope your not too devoted to the Intel Idea other wise I just tried to sell a dog to a cat person. :p

*I am seeing red as the best option. Your squeezing the cash Friend
** Captain planet would want you to reuse it.
*** There’s the big compromise. Here is the best price 500 GB I could find in a hour. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3303659&CatId=2459
