PSU for GTX460 and gts 450

depends what brand of psu u got, you should be fine for the most part though

im running e8400 @ 4.0ghz, 4gb ddr2 ram, 500gb hdd and 120gb ssd, hd 6950 unlocked to 6970 on a 430w coolermaster, and its all fine.

Whatever you do, DON'T get a generic PSU, especially Zebronics!!! Get a trustworthy brand, like Antec, Coolermaster or Corsair. These cheap PSUs fry your hardware with a slightest voltage jump on the power grid... And GTX 460 is much better than a GTS 450, by the way.

my budget is 8k to 10k.
I want to play crysis, gta4,..like games at its best graphics and smoothness.


One doubt also..
Radeon or Nividia which has best image quality??

A good PSU is at least Rs. 3000 - 450W (as far as I remember). That leaves you with 7000 for GPU. That's about $160. If that would be in US, you could probably get the GTX 460 (not sure, though), but in India - no chance. Let's wait for AMD people's opinion, I have no idea what kind of AMD card is good for that price - maybe we'll find something better.

this is the cheapest 450 gtx I can find on this site..
If you live somewhere near Delhi then go to Nehru Place and search you will get it very cheap there may be you will be able to afford gtx 460 and that psu which I linked for around 12k INR

Its now a good deal for me?

I found that there are some othr cards that outperforms GTS 450 at the same price range...

If you know about that pls suggest..or I will buy GTS 450 .

What is your processor speed? anything below 3GHz is goin to bottleneck anything above gtx 460
HD 5770 is also an option in some games HD 5770 performs better than gts 450 you can see here

no doubt it performs better than gts 450
but still in some games 5770 seems to beat it
also a 5770 is a very good overclocker and has seen it hitting 1GHZ (MSI HAWK edition)

with `1600x700 resolution(may be higher)
and with ultra high setting?

It should run fine at your resolution
I run a GTS250 at 1600x900 and works really good though I can max out Metro 2033 at above 35fps at times it goes to aound 27fps and a 5770 is more powerful than a gts 250 and your res is lower than mine you will be able to max them out easily

and also need to know that is der any advantage for looking 256bit card instead of 128bit for my pc

Nvidia has better image quality as compared to ATI (I hope this won't attract any fanboys here )
and 256bit DDR3 memory will be slower than a 128 bit DDR5 so look for these things. Mainly what matters is the card's overall performance if you compare the cards on the basis of memory interface it is not going to give you much idea
