My first laptop !!

Hi all,

Iam looking forward to buying a laptop in the near future.. all i want is a lap for general usage with more battery life

These are my picks :

Intel i5 pro
windows 7 (8)
Built in graphics (intel)
4gb ddr3
dvd drive
500 HD (maybe 1tb)
tuner card (for watching cable tv) >internal or external
Over 8-9 hrs of battery life

Also, I have i3 530 on my computer. looking forward to upgrade to i5 processor to computer & old i3 to laptop.. is that possible ??

Or should i wait a bit longer for windows 8 to come out ?

Suggest me a good model with these conf..

You wont be able to use your old computer processor in your laptop. They use different socket types.

The laptop spec looks pretty good, however if your planning to do some gaming on it, id look for a laptop with a dedicated graphics card.

Not necessary..., i have HD 5830 on my computer. intel graphics will do it i guess..
