How to replace ide dvd writer with sata

if your system wont boot after installing the sata dvd writer its probably because the dvd drive is set as 1st boot device

to change it either swap the sata cables from the dvd drive and hard drive--only at the drive end not motherboard

or go in bios and set hard drive as 1st boot device

or use the boot menu by pressing whatever f key your pc manufacturer specifies
