When using dual monitors to output distinct video feeds to two large screen displays, is it best to have two graphics cards? Must/should they be Crossfired?

Most current video cards or onboard graphics have dual output capability. Nothing else is required.
If the displays do not have fast motion, like first person shooters, then only a minimal graphics card, or even onboard graphics is all that is necessary.

sli/crossfire is only appropriate for triple displays, large 2560 x 1600 monitors, or maximum gaming refresh rates.
