Hello everyone

I am experiencing a very strange problem with my sandy bridge pc
I use an Intel I5 2500 Cpu
a Foxconn H67m-v
an Ati HD 5770 1Gb vga
8gigs ram 1333mhz ddr3 transcend
Hdd:500gb sata 3 seagate
i use this pc mostly for games
and my problem is that my fps in some games are strangely low.
benchmarks and other stuff like that show the expected scores so i am little confused....
what may cause that problem and if its harware i would like to hear some suggestions on how to improve with low cost.
Battlefield 3 fps:25 and droping
TESV:30 and droping when lots going on :S

download the latest video card drivers. You dont mention which games are giving you issue but graphics drivers have recently cause lots of that problem and new drivers have fixed most of them.

What resolution and what settings do you play at? If you are playing @ 1080p and Ultra settings, don't expect any more than that.

i play at 1080p :D  but from what i see in benchmarks and the overall image of my pc is relatively low considering similar systems.Could i get bottlenecked by my GPU?Or motherboard?should i consider a move to amd platform?i am little confused...

similar setup i5 4.3 ghz and 5770 playing Bf3 at @1680 resolution ultra settings without AA efects. I can get min 30 fps going 40 over.Wouldn't go to 1080p with my setup .
Same with Skyrim all on high including 2 AA anything past this settings will make my game lag a bit.
Yes the videocard is the problem not the cpu.
what to do ?
You can try oc a bit this is optional ofcourse.
Lower settings find the best settings for your needs.
Sell your card buy better one. (but new cards are coming next year midrange prabably february )

so for what vga whould i make a move on?6790 would be a good choice or i have to turn on nvidia models?

if you want to play bf3, a 560ti or 6950 would be the best option. But for the moment overclock your 5770.

Speaking from a budget point of view for me the 5770 does really well but if i would go for 1080p ultra settings all the time and have the money for it i would go for a minimum 6950.( some good deals for the 1 gb version try to search for it)
If they announce new cards any moment now next year all this high end cards will lower in price.
I like nvidia also especialy for the phsyx but prices war always higher.

I would get a GTX 560 ti. That should get you all settings on without going under 30 FPS. Later, if your motherboard supports it, you could even grab another GTX 560 ti to go with it.
