I currently have a 6970 and am looking to get an eyefinity setup.

Just have a few questions.
What are some good monitors I could pair with each other and prices. looking around 100-200 per screen, also at 1080P
My current monitor is a sony 32ex500. Is there a way I can still use this, but then switch to the eyefinity panels for gaming?

I am mostly playing bad company 2 right now, I play starcraft 2 and crysis 2 as well. Gonna be getting BF3 when it comes out. Would it be a good idea to get a second card as well?

Rest of specs
8 gigs 1600mhz
intel 2500k at 4.6ghz 1.35V
noctua D14
xfx 6970
850 antec Cool power.
antec 1200 case.

The LG E2241T is a good choice with its thin <0.5" bezel.

Yes, you can use your TV as a 4th monitor but you need to buy two (2) adaptors:
Monitor #1: DVI-D
Monitor #2: DVI-S
Monitor #3: Active DP to DVI ( of if your 6970 have mini DP, then you need Active miniDP to DVI
32" TV : DP/miniDP to VGA - I recommend this as these are cheaper & VGA works better for me than HDMI.

If you want to have ultra high setting, then Yes, a 2nd card is necessary. But if not, the 6970 will give you decent fps as long as AA & morphological filtering are turned off

I got the power supply for that reason, so I could add in another card down the line. I have a DVI - HDMI cable hooking up to my tv right now. Whats the difference between DVI D and S. also cant I just use HDMI for the TV, then use a DP adapter for dvi to the third monitor?

its an XFX 6970. mini DP I believe.

If you want to stick with HDMI for your TV, you can do this:
32" TV : HDMI
Monitor #1: DVI-D
Monitor #2: Active miniDP to DVI
Monitor #3: Active miniDP to DVI
Difference between DVI-D is that it can exceed 1920x1080 resolution where the DVI-S can not. Also, the DVI-D have more PINs so a DVI-D male can not fit into a DVI-S Female connector.
