Hi all :hello:

i have an AMD phenomIIx4 965 3.4GHzBE

last time i built a new rig Memory was Memory and as long as your board supported it you were good to go " yep its been a long time "

now i need DD3 and i am reading that you have DD3 for AMD and DDR3 for Intel :pt1cable:

i am looking to buy : Corsair Vengeance 4GB Dual Channel Memory PC3-12800 1600MHz DDR3

will this work with the AMD

and am i right in assuming that the only differance is it was tested and guaranteed for specific CPU but will work on both AMD and Intel

all help greatfuly receved

You can use pretty much any ram for Intel or amd CPUs. Just don't go lower or past 1333 or 1600 frequencies. These are the sweet spots

The processor you are using supports both DDR2 and DDR3 RAM. As long as it's either of these and they fit your board you're set.
