I recently purchased my first AMD processor and motherboard - the C60M1-I (AMD C-60 1 GHz dual core) - in over a decade of Intel-only builds and I'm wondering what's causing my boot times to be sooo long. I'm using that board with an OCZ SSD and on initial boot the ASUS UEFI/BIOS logo will appear for 30 seconds or so then boots into windows which sits at that logo for about another 20 seconds. Turning off the logo at boot the screen will be black for some time before flashing text briefly then booting into Windows.
My last cheapo PC like this was an Atom dual core and SSD which boots through both of those processes in 15-20 seconds at most.
I've updated the BIOS with no change. Do I have a bad board (seems unlikely considering it works just fine) or is AMD just slow?
