Hi there, just wondering if my proposed PC build spec looks good, or if there is anything I could do to make it cheaper without sacrificing too much! It will be used for gaming, web design and photo editing, my budget is £400 so I'm already slightly over!

Intel Core i5-2400 - £137.99 - Aria
ATI Radeon HD 6870 - £134.98 - Amazon
G-Skill 4GB DDR3 1333MHz Ripjaws - £20 - Ebuyer
LiteOn IHAS124 - £13.98 - Ebuyer
Coolermaster Elite 430 Case - £34.50 - Micro Direct
Coolermaster Elite Power 500W - £28.50 - Micro Direct
500GB Western Digital - £27.99 - Ebay
ASRock S1155 Intel H61 - £39.99 - Dabs

£437.93

Thanks
Thomas

Amazingly quick reply! Thanks!

Thanks for your help, i did look at the 6850 but at the time there was an offer on making the 6870 cheaper but I'm not sure if that's still on so thanks for reminding me!

Thanks
Thomas

if your going to be doing photo editing and such. i would use a bigger HDD like 1TB or 2TB. I have done my share of this and as the projects pile on your HDD start to be full

If you could fit in a i5 2500k somehow, that would help your gaming if you decided to overclock. Otherwise it looks like a good build EXCEPT for the PSU. Jpoos is right in pointing out that it has no 80+ rating and looks somewhat cheap. Also, if you plan to OC you would need something with more juice anyway.
