Please can you tell me if you think the following hardware is a good budget build so far...(it's mainly for general use although i still want it to be future proof and speedy at the same time)

Intel Core i5 2500K 3.3GHz Socket 1155 6MB (overclockable)

Thermaltake 575W Toughpower XT Modular PSU

Fractal Design Core 3000 Case

Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3 Z68

G-Skill 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600Mhz RipjawsX Memory Kit CL9

Crucial 128GB 2.5" M4 SSD SATA-III 6Gb/s (for booting)

No SATA 3 HDD Drive yet for storage and no Graphics card yet.

Thanks!

Looks very nice to me. Any HDD should do as long as it is reputable. A spinpoint would do fine.

As for the GPU, are you looking into gaming? I would recommend the GTX 560 ti if you are and if not a simple card would do.

Thanks for the reply!

I've ordered all of the above parts from ebuyer.com and will arrive tomorrow.
Forgot to mention that i've also bought a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus CPU Cooler Heatsink from play.com.

I'm really gunna just use it for wow and watching movies. Also just wanted a nippy system to do general tasks really. Haven't built a system for about 5 years so looking forward to the build.

Hoping to be able to boot W7 in under 15 seconds!

Very nice. What GPU did you wind up getting?

And with that SSD you should have no problems booting in that time period =)

Let me know how it all goes!

Don't laugh but i'm just gunna stick with my 512 MB ATI Radeon HD 4550 for a few weeks before I decide on the GPU.

Not heavily into gaming, wow is just a casual mess around to kill some time. I'll hold off just for now. I'll let you know how it goes!
