Hi, I currently ran 3D Mark 11 on Performance mode and the FPS and scores I got seem worrying to me. I just hope I don't have any shoddy parts.

My specs are:
Intel I5 2500k overclocked to 3.8ghz
Sapphire Vapor X HD 6870 (stock speeds)
8GB G-SKill DDR3 RAM
Corsair PSU 750TX v2 Bronze
Asus P8P67 Mobo

My 3D mark score is P4328. And during the demos, I had FPS in the range of 13-27. Im new to this 3D mark stuff so maybe its normal but I thought I built a pretty beast computer and now I am a little disappointed.

3dmark 11 is supposed to give you fps like that. I felt the same way when I first got a high end gpu but if you look closely at sites that review graphics cards and use 3dmark 11, it shows the fps there really low as well.

Thats because that program is MADE to beat the living crap out of your gpu. To give you an example, my 6970 really only get abour 23-35 fps. Not much of a big difference from yours and its a high end, $400 card.

I just ran 3D Mark again on stock settings for my CPU (3.3 ghz with 3.7 turbo) and the weird thing is that my score was higher than when I overclocked. My new score was P4410

Ah I see. Well that makes me feel much better :D  . I dont even want to think about running 3D Mark on Extreme settings, my GPU would probably blow up!

I also have a 6870 with a 2600k @ 4.5 and stock clocks on my vid card and got P4525 3DMarks which looks right inline with your score considering cpu speed doesn't have much effect on the score.

lol. forget about 3d mark. the software was made to satisfy benchmark freak. actual game performance are more important.

Yes it does and it always has done with every version of 3D Mark.
