Hello, im within a week of buying the parts for a PC that im building for myself and would like to get the communities opinion/advice on it.

Some info before questions are brought up in the comments:
- I plan on using this for multiplayer gaming, video/photo editing, and watching movies.
- This PC will be running just about 24/7.
- I have a LG 32" 1080p LCD TV that I plan on using for my main moniter through HDMI, and I am buying another moniter as listed below.
- I am on the second floor of the building im in and our router and modem is on the first floor, hence why im purchasing a 50ft ethernet cable.
- I want as much airflow as possible and want to keep my system as cool as possible (subject to change).
- I will be overclocking my CPU to 4-4.5ghz (this can be changed if there is a good reason and is suggested).

^+1 on the memory, possibly get 2 kits if the video editing benefits from the 16GB of ram.

For Mobo also consider the $200 range boards from Asus, Asrock & Gigabyte. The $300 is quite a bit for a mobo.
But if you must ^+1 on the ASRock Z68 Extreme7 Gen3.

For case also might consider the slightly smaller HAF 932.

If you do a lot of image editing, you might want to consider an IPS display such as HP ZR24w (1920x1200) instead of the Asus.
Viewing angles and colors are much better. It costs around $380.

That RAM is a triple channel one that works in LGA 1366. You need Dual Channel.

I'm leaving the Monitor, Mouse, Keyboard, Webcam etc and making a build for you. I hope you can wait for one month for bulldozer to launch.

I was really hoping to stay with intel, and I really want to future proof myself as much as possible. I would be more then willing to get the 590 and a larger PSU in plans for down the line to get another one and put the 2 in SLI if its recommended by the community.

Well we have yet to see performance results between the 2, and considering how badly 2600k beats Phenom II x6 I would wait for the test results before making the choice.

For upgrade ability as money doesn't seem to really be much of an object with $3000 budget, you might as well go with just about the the best there is.
Grab the Corsair AX1200 it is one of the best PSU's out there and will be big enough to handle any config suggested, including 590 x2 QuadSLI.

As for the video cards, you should set a specific target what you want to accomplish. A single 6950 will run great on 1920x1080 resolution with settings maxed out in many games having 2 will just make sure of it for even more games or if there is a crowd in the multi player game for example. So you hardly need more juice in the graphics than that.
However to have the option for easy upgrades you should maybe consider a single GTX580 or then the GTX590.

It costs a bit more, but I'm willing to save a little bit longer if it will last me in the long run. Also, I chose the single 590 instead of the 6950 CF because I
plan on putting 2 in SLI in the future and I would prefer 2 cards instead of 4 on my motherboard. I upgraded my PSU to the recommended one and I just wanted to make sure that it will support both in SLI in the future and the overclocked CPU. Thanks for the help.
