Ati 5770 Hdmi problem

I have a Radeon hd 5770, running under Win Xp, and want to use the Hdmi to plug it into a Samsung p2700hn, but the monitor keeps saying "no device connected". I have already tried reinstalling an older version of the CCC (i have 11.6). The hdmi cable works just fine with my laptop with win 7, any idea on what can i do?????.

First of all upgrade that windows XP it is too old for everything
no dx10,11 just dx9 and ms is goin to stop all support for it
Buy windows 7 that will solve all the problems which you are facing now and in future
And for your HDMI problem try with a different display and see if it works.. It is most probably your graphics card problem
