I5-2500k not OC idle temp variations

Last response: in CPUs

Hello,
I recently built a new system:
HAF 932
ASUS P8z68-v pro
Intel Core 15-2500k
Hyper 212+ cooler

my question is, I am getting a seemingly large variance in core temps at idle speeds:
core 0 = 26
core 3 = 31
core 2 = 21
core 1 = 23

this is with core temp 1.1.

I have read in numerous forums that 4 degree variance is normal...is 10 degrees between the high and low still in the OK range?

This is 100% normal, continue on with your day.

Thanks a bunch, I will check out Real Temp and/or HW Monitor. As far as if its real time or high ... those readings were/are the current temps at idle.

Sorry, I use older version of Core Temp it's "max" , not "high".
Core Temp has 3 columns of temperature readings - the real-time (on the left), Min. and Max. - from which one you took the temperatures you posted?
