Hi guys, I just bought my new laptop and I'm concerned it is overheating when playing BF3. I know its best to use a desktop but theres no budget for both and the laptop was necessary. This is my laptop:
Brand: Asus
Processor: i7-2670qm
Graphics card: gtx540m
Ram: 8gb
I'm using coretemp to measure the temps. When its just resting in the desktop the temps are around 40s but when playing BF3 the temps get up to 80 or so, one of them got up to 84. Should i be concerned? Is there something i can do? Thank you!

alternatively if your as hard up as my good friend deadjon was you will just sit on a bed with a desktop 200mm fan between your legs and sit the laptop on that.....works a treat

Also im hoping your not using your "laptop" actually on your lap.....tends to be a big no-no.
Smooth hard surface or a mesh surface.

Ive actually been using it on a laptop cooler, probably not as good as the ones that were mentioned here though. The laptop's surface is actually completely cool but the air coming out from the vents at its side is pretty hot.
