What's the advantage of separating Modem/Router instead of using Combo Tags: Wireless Routers Modem Networking Last response: November 1, 2010 3:34 AM in Networking Share KalumXX November 1, 2010 2:42:32 AM I currently use ADSL modem/router Combo (10/100 ethernet and Wireless-G) and about to upgrade the network connectivity to Gigabit Lan and Wireless-N. I still doubt about what solution will be better and why ? 1. Buy new "Wireless-N Gigabit Router", use old combo as a modem only. 2. Buy new "Wireless-N Gigabit Router with Modem", discard old combo. I just want to ask in term of QoS, performance, stability, extensibility. Could you suggest what solution will be better and why ?
