Socket 1155 mobo with 6+ sata III

I've been looking for a replacement for my MSI G45M to buy with an i5. Does anyone know of an mATX mobo with preferably 6 or more Sata III ports? or even 4?

That's the cheapest LGA 1155 socket mATX board that I can find with four SATA 600Gb/s ports. There are no LGA 1155 socket mATX boards with six of them that I've ever heard of. The cheapest LGA 1155 socket ATX board with 6 that I found has a hefty $230 price tag. If you want that many SATA 6Gb/s ports, you need PCIe adapters or an AMD motherboard.

I've been looking at AMD actually. Apparently the FM1s have 6 sata 3 ports on a few. I've heard amd processors are nowhere near i5s yet?

Disable the IGP of a Trinity APU and OC it somewhat and it can reach for a stock Sandy Bridge i5 in performance and power consumption.

Yes, the A75 and A85X chipsets hae numerous SATA 600MB/s ports. The AM3+ 970/990X/990FX chipsets also all have like six native SATA6 ports.

Looks like socket FM1 is going to be the most cost effective option. I'm new to AMD so I don't know which processor to go for?

Trinity is socket FM2. If you want Socket FM1 (which is Llano), then the A8-3870K or the A6-3670K would probably be the best APUs.
