My pc and battlefield 3

Hi guys, I have a stock q6600.. Do you think if I upgrade my video card to a 6950 or 6970 (Currently 4850) I can play battlefield 3 at 60fps @ 1920x1200 ?

i got same gpu as you, but crappy e8200. I also think to buy 6850/6950 but i think my cpu will be bottleneck

Yeah get a new CPU. 100% get the 6950 though, you can unlock it to a 6970.

Those are only reference models, which aren't easy to find nowadays, but the 6950 is still close in terms of performance compared to a 6970. I assume you have a prebuilt, so OCing your CPU is not an option. Just get a new video card. At 1080p, games are more GPU reliant. My PC runs on an Athlon II X4 630 @ 2.8GHz and a HD 6750 (I play Source games though). I tried the BF3 Beta maxed out and managed to get 20 to 30 FPS average. I'm sure a 6950 will play the game great.
