i got a m4a785-m notherboard that is at least 4 or 5 years old and recently when i turn my computer on it makes wierd noises almost like a grinding noise and it always says new cpu detected i have replaced the cmos battery in this thing like 2 or 3 times so im starting to think maybe it something with the motherboard itself all the other parts in it are at most a year old and have ran flawless since i put it together

The grinding noise is most likely a fan or hardrive failing. Fix that and do a clean sweep of old files. I use both ie privacy keeper 2.7 and the disk clean windows program. If that doesn't work, I would format the drive after replacing it. New 128 gb ssd's are going for $80-90 after rebate such as this one: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0077CR60Q/ref=nosim/?ascsubta....
