Corsair EATX-12V plug

My Corsair TX850 has an 8-pin EATX-12 Volt which can be split into two-4 pins. The problem is the shapes of the plug on the MoBo and the two- 4 pins don't match up. The 8-pin plug fits into the socket because the curved plugs fit inside the squared plugs. Really fits nicely, just slides into it. Any solution to this ? I've been told to plug it in and not to worry about it I'd just like a second opinion, don't want to fry my new MoBo.

Don't worry about the shape of the pin holes. Ours are made to provide the highest level of compatibility with the different sockets out there.
