Computer will not boot on first start. Drives will spin up but monitor wont come on. If I leave it on for 15min then force shutdown. On restart it will boot up fine. Computer seems fine when its warm but not cold. Even with new OCZ PSU and new monitor and fresh battery on MB. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks.

Is the motherboard old ?

Have you tried changing the small round battery on the motherboard ?

i had a similar problem with my old computer and it turned out to be the GPU. i suspect the problem will get worse and worse to a point where it wont even start turning on after the initial boot - but definitely mobo / gpu.

Brand new battery on the motherboard. The motherboard is a d865Perl with a Pentium 4 on it. About three years old with easy use. Would resetting the Bios help or is it just getting old?
