New Build $2000ish need advice on compatibility

Ok so giving this a go I've built one computer about 5 year ago so i have a basic idea of what i need to just wanted to double check see is any input on things i should change.

Approximate Purchase Date: after the 27th is went im planning on ordering

Budget Range: 2000-2300

System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming mostly

Parts Not Required: dont need keyboard mouse headset or monitor

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg

Country of Origin: USA

Parts Preferences: Intel, others are debatable i like gigabyte and asus for mobo and evga for cards

Overclocking: more than likely

SLI or Crossfire: either or

Monitor Resolution: currently using 1600x1200

Additional Comments: any advice would be much appreciated.

Thats about it I know the case is expensive and i know the 580s are expensive but it doesnt really bother me again any advice would be helpful thanks

Overall the build looks good and I think you are going to be very happy with it. The Intel® Core™ i5-2500K and the Asus P8Z68-V make a nice pairing and the Cooler Master hyper 212+ is good for dealing with the heat from overclocking or even every day use. About the only concern I have is with the SSD you have selected. I havent personally heard anything about this drive but my experience with ADATA memory has left something to be desired.

Everything looks good but the psu. There are some people on here that will say an 850w psu is fine for dual 580's, but if you go to the Nvidia and/or EVGA forums they say the opposite. That 850 may push two of those cards but it's going to leave you zero headroom not to mention the life span on that 850w is going to be short seeing how it's going to be running balls to the wall and get hotter than a fried egg.

Also this case down below just came out on newegg a few days ago and it has better cooling imo than the 600T not to mention it has built in fan controllers and the option to add even more fans later on. This case is going to be a big hit imo with what it offers for the price. There's also a black version of this case.

You do realize, that withing 3 months, there will be a nvidia product refresh, with possibly $200 videocards superior to the ones you listed? Dont spend 1k on this....only buy 1 card for now.

Also, a 64GB SSD is fine, specially if you are gonna use Z68 cache technology. However, I do recomend, invest in a SSD, in this case, get a small one for the OS, and a bigger one for your games.

In adition, get a second HDD and RAID 0, as well as a external drive for backup.

So, I believe that you can get 1 of the videocard money and invest in a 2nd SSD, a 2nd hdd, and a external backup solution.

You may even dont get a $500 videocard now, use intel graphics and wait for the refresh.
